The Catholic Women’s League (CWL) is the largest national organization of Catholic women in Canada.  The CWL calls its women to grow in faith and to witness to the love of God, through ministry and service.  Members support the working of the parish and its other ministries through fundraising initiatives.

The patroness of the League is the Blessed Virgin Mary under the title of Our Lady of Good Counsel. St. Pius X CWL Council was inaugurated on January 19, 1955.

Guided by the motto “for God and Canada” the objectives of the CWL are:

  • Achieve spiritual development
  • Promote the teachings of the Catholic Church
  • Exemplify the Christian ideal in home and family life
  • Protect the sanctity of human life
  • Enhance the role of women in the church and society
  • Recognize the human dignity of all people everywhere
  • Uphold and defend Christian education and values in the modern world and contribute to the understanding and growth of religious freedom, social justice, peace and harmony.

We humbly pray you, O God our Father, to bless The Catholic Women’s League of Canada. Bless our beloved country, our homes and families. Send your Holy Spirit upon us to give light to our minds and strength to our wills that we may know and fulfill your great law of charity. Teach us to share with others at home and abroad, the good things you have given us. This we ask through Our Lord Jesus Christ and the intercessions of our patroness, our Lady of Good Counsel. Amen

Our members serve in many areas of our Parish community, and their generosity and spirit live out our mission statement.

Our activities include:

Membership Survey (this is a link)

This is a gentle reminder to please complete our CWL member survey and the top 5 reasons why you should complete it before Easter!

  1. All members who complete the survey before Easter will be entered into a draw for a prize!
  1. It only takes about 5 minutes!

  2. It will help us get to know you and how you would like to be involved (ranging from little/no involvement to very involved).

  3. It will help us understand what activities interest you.

  4. If you indicate interest in an activity, it will provide an opportunity to get involved or simply just explore it further. You decide.

We would be very grateful if you take the time to complete the survey as it will also allow us to easily update your contact details saving us from entering them manually.

If you have any issues accessing the survey or if you would prefer a paper copy to complete, please contact Michelle Cox at[email protected] or 778-227-8400.

Thank you in advance.
