The Sunday 11:00 am Coffee/Tea Ministry helps to provide a welcoming and gathering atmosphere at St. Pius X Parish.
Coffee, tea and juice with an assortment of treats are provided in the Great Hall of the Church on Sunday after the 11:00 am Mass (once a month). All are welcome to gather to meet fellow parishioners, catch up with those you haven't seen in a while, all towards building our Parish community.
Volunteers Are Needed - Not Much Commitment
You can volunteer on your own and be paired with another parishioner which is a way to meet new people. Or what about considering volunteering as a family group by getting the family involved. Or does your child need some community service experience - this is a great opportunity.
Sunday Set Up and Clean Up - Volunteering requires setting up approximately 8 tables, 8 to 10 chairs, putting out the sign, plating the food, making the coffee and tea, putting out the treats and then cleaning up afterwards. We have a commercial dishwasher so dishes are done in minutes.
Timing - Generally set up can start at 10:15 am, attend the 11:00 am mass, and then clean up is generally completed by 1:00 pm.
Commitment - Commitment depends on the number of volunteers we have. We need at least two per Sunday. And at the present time we only have enough volunteers for once a month.
