12:00 pm - 3:00 pm in the Parish Meeting Hall

Materials provided:

• prepared wire wreath frame
• floral wire for attaching greens to the frame
• moss
• ribbons and sundry decorations

Bring your own:

• collect and bring your own fresh greens - HINT: if there is a strong wind in the few days before the class, go take a walk in your local park or trails as there will be some good windfall branches to collect!
• gardening gloves
• handheld garden shears for snipping branches

Best greens to collect:

• Coniferous - spruce, fir, cedar, juniper, sequoia, pine (but stiff to work with)
• Deciduous - boxwood, holly (you will need leather work gloves), laurel (might go brown but can spray), cotoneaster (stiff ground cover bush with red berries in the fall)
• NOT GREAT - hemlock as the needles drop too quickly

Other interesting additions for texture:

• scotch broom branches
• huckleberry branches
• ivy
